Fine Kettle O'Fish - Niagara Falls

Many claim to have the best fish and chips in town, but the hook, line, and sinker at this eatery is the all-you-can-eat fish and chips for only $8.99. The restaurant features a fish of the month. A lunch portion is $6.99 and add $2 more at dinner. With platters, and side dishes, you may not want dessert, but if you do it's only a penny. The restaurant also serves chicken, beef and pasta dishes. Entrees include penne with pesto sauce and grilled chicken ($10.99); and classic stirfry with beef ($11.99)

We had the surf and turf. The lobster tail was done to perfection and the steak was actually rare like I ordered it and was like candy going down. Great friendly service.

Fine Kettle O'Fish - Niagara Falls was one of the reasons we so enjoyed going to the falls for our vacation. After several, not up to par dinners and service, we went back one more time, in 2010. That indeed was our last mistake..its such a pity that the place went from the best to the very bottom of worse........

I have heard so many good things about this restaurant......but my experiences have been quite the opposite............we've tried it out a few times and have had terrible service, VERY slow delivery of courses, and bad fish to boot.........way too expensive for the experiences we have had. I would definitely NOT recommend it.

Excellent find off the beaten track!

We have been coming here for years, whenever we were in town. Consistant quality, quiet relaxing place to meet with friends.

We loved this restaurant and visited because of the reviews here on this website.  The only thing I had a problem with was the decor.  This restaurant is in serious need of a makeover.  The bright lights were ridiculous.  The food and drinks were the best though but for myself, ambiance is 40% of the experience and this place seriously lacks that.  The staff was very friendly and helpful.  I would definitely recommend this place just for the great food only.  Another thing; avoid the ladies restroom at all costs, especially if you're allergic to cheap cinnamon air freshener.

We finally found a place that has good food at a reasonable price. We are from OH and SC. We were there last year and plan on stopping in for dinner again this year when we are at the Falls. We will be coming again next week and looking forward to a great lobster dinner. Soup too:)

We visited the Fine Kettle of Fish on April 18,2009. I believe that this restaurant must have changed ownership recently. We had a reservation at 6:30pm...were seated promptly but had no service until 7pm. Our waitress did not even know we were her patrons. We ordered drinks and apps, the beverages that were brought to us were not what was requested, and the apps were wrong as well. At 8pm we finally received our meals(1 hour wait time) One meal in particular was a king crab and steak dinner...the steak was shriveled to shoe leather (med-rare was asked for) and the fries fries were soggy. The other meals were of poor quality as well. This was the first time in my life that I have refused to pay for a meal. We did not eat our meals..we paid for our beverages and apps and left the restaurant. I currently manage a restaurant and find it incredible to receive such poor service.

The chowder had more seafood than potatoes, and was very creamy with enough seasoning. The bread was a light whole-wheat loaf with plenty of real butter. I had the pound of mussels, which were well steamed, and my wife had an assortment of shrimp, scallops and fish. We chose the pasta, which I don't recommend: it had too much cheese on it, drowning out the tomatoes in my marinara and covering up the seafood in my wife's dish. The salads were fairly good, and the service quite attentive, so I think we just made a bad choice with the pasta.

Being local residents we used to visit the Fine Kettle fairly often. After the owner died and new management took over we were disappointed in the quality of the food. However we have visited the restaurant twice recently for Fish & chips & found the food very good once again. Jan. 2012.

From the poor quality to the lack of quantity this place Fine kettle o fish has the nerve to replace its seafood with mock crab (pollock everything) to replacing quality fish with haddock and calling it something else. I couldnt even continue eating drowning my food in tartar sauce, from first entering to sitting down all i wanted was to pay my bill so i could leave!!!!!!! not to mention the food poisoning, i cant eat fish to this day.
Being a glutton himself, the owner treats his staff like abused animals, the one hostess had to run to the back just so the customers wouldn't see her cry. The price was reasonable only because the one server told me that the owner doesnt pay his staff, and that even when they do get paid it isnt the full amount owed, i didnt know if it was a scam or the staff are literally treated like slaves but i had to leave a tip just to cleanse my conscience. I pity the staff, but the owner may very well be the anti christ.
