Had a late lunch at IHOP at the Best Western with my family. The menu was a bit limited for lunch items, but we settled for whatever they had because it was snowing out and it was freezing cold ... plus we were starving! Not only was the menu limited, it was also confusing. There was a Canadian price and an American price (which was cheaper than the Canadian). Here's what we ordered: a grilled chicken salad and chicken strips with fries for my 4 year old. I had a soda, my son had 2 milks and my husband (who didn't order any food) just had an iced tea. We get the bill and all that food cost us $44! What?! We were informed that they were charging us the Canadian prices. We were going to break a fifty ... yeah, we ended up leaving the whole thing behind. How could it be so much, you ask? Well, it didn't help that $7 of the $44 was all sorts of Canadian taxes. We paid less for a dinner for 3 at Tony Roma's the night before and we didn't get charged as much in taxes. RIDICULOUS!

I am glad someone else agrees on this destination tax.Everything is going good @ dinner till the bill comes. As tourists spending lots of money in your city we should not have to pay it.
FYI...that goes for hotels also!!!!!!!

We walked in the restaurant read the menu and left. Outrageous prices - $17.99 for pancakes.

Been there on multiple occasions. Food and service is great. Large portions. A must go too.

FOOD Is terrible , my boyfriend and i ordered quick eggs breakfast and pancake platter and 2 apple juices . Food was cold messy on the plate , eggs werent cooked to liking waiter was an idoit ( too concered about a tip) . Took about 20 -25 mins for the nasty food. Still hungry afterwards cost 50.00 canadian for crap

Amazing!!! An IHOP review becomes a forum for an anti-tax!!! BTW thanks for your contribution!!!!

I want to go here, but anytime I go its always closed... DURING THE DAY!

This IHOP is the worst IHOP in the world. DO NOT go. for some reason, the omelette is TINY. The bacon and sausages feel like they're a week old, and their signature pancakes......... are..... bad. expensive as hell too

I hadn't had IHOP since I visited the US years ago, but this one was in our hotel, so it seemed pretty perfect. Also, our hotel gave us a $10 off of $25 purchase voucher (which, we thought, would mean we probably would have to order extra things to meet the $25 limit).
The food was okay (not great, but it was good enough), but it was SO OVERPRICED! I paid about $16 for four pancakes! That is CRAZY! And I think the "unlimited coffee" is a nice idea if you want to drink your $4 worth of coffee, but if you just want one cup, you are paying SO MUCH!
All in all, it was an okay place if you like paying SO SO SO MUCH for okay food. I will not be returning to IHOP...such an expensive disappointment.

Food was not good at all. Have been there twice in the last 6 months and it is not up to IHOP standards at all. Very over priced - small servings, cold and microwaved.

I went to IHOP for the first time with a group of friends on a trip to Niagara Falls and never again will I go back to IHOP. The food wasn't the problem, I had pancakes and they were filling and delicious. It was the price. Outrageous to overcharge for breakfast. Our group didn't get coffee because it was too expensive. For a group of four the price was roughly $80.00. I understand that it's a tourist destination, but Tim Horton's, Dairy Queen, and other places do not jack up their prices like this. I had dinner the night before at Wild Wing and their prices were the same as the chains in Toronto. I learned my lesson once and no more. Ihop prices in Niagara makes me scream IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII.

Slow service, rude staff, cold food, crazy prices! Smittys was almost as bad but the prices weren't as outrageous

Great food, not sure what other people eat for breakfast complaining food is ok? the food is great, service is always slow when you are hungry in morning, prices are high no kidding it's Niagara, what did you expect? you can get $8 breakfasts at any greasy spoon, no contest.

My husband and I paid $40 for two short stacks of pancakes, one juice, and coffee. More expensive than any of the dinners we've had. Ridiculous. Go away from the falls about one mile to another IHOP and you won't get ripped off

Way to expensive and the food is terrible . An american chain that should be charging us canadians american prices .The destination tax is for tourists not locals

Visited summer of 2010, food was ok, service was ok, but $50CAD for family of 4 seemed overpriced...grab a coffee and BELT at Tims

BEST FOOD EVER.. everyone who complains about the high price... well ANYWHERE you eat in Niagara is overpriced. It is a tourist destination... STOP COMPLAINING!!

80$ for breakfast for family of four.
Slooooow service.
Medocre food.
Spoiled my IHOP experience forever.
Never going back to IHOP again.
